Disclaimer:
I am a licensed esthetician, not a doctor. My scope of practice is to treat the epidermis (outermost layer of the skin). Any recommendations found on this blogsite is to assist in treating the epidermis. Consult your physician regarding any concerns you have about adverse reactions and contraindications with current health concerns or medication you may be taking before starting a new product. Do not try to treat any skin ailments or diseases without consulting a physician first!
Hi there! My name is LaShaar and I am a licensed esthetician and holistic nutritionist. I am over 30 years young and have picked up some tricks along the way to help myself and others achieve beautiful healthy skin. I get asked so often how I get my skin to glow and as a skincare professional have learned simple tricks that work every time to solve general skincare problems. I also get mistaken for being younger than I really am (I thank my mom for sure, but..) which I attribute to my skincare and lifestyle routine.
As a young girl growing up in Detroit, MI, I had many skin issues as a result of a lifelong battle with dermatitis which made me very passionate about learning how to best take care of my skin and in turn teach others like me. I learned very young how much of an impact having skin issues can have on your confidence. I also had a hard time finding a knowledgeable professional that could give me simple advice on how to combat my skin issues without a lifelong relationship with prescriptions. As a daughter/granddaughter of American southerners, I also preferred finding a natural remedy or solution for my health/skincare problems that actually work.
As I embarked on my personal skin healing journey I found myself continuing my education. I attended Paul Mitchell of Dallas and obtained my license as an esthetician and continued helping others by providing facials services and personal skincare education and products. The pandemic brought my hands-on business to a halt that prompted me to study other ways that I could not only impact those nearby but also educate you all on how to take care of your skin from home.
On this blog I will discuss the basics of each step in your potential skincare routine whether you prefer to keep it simple or layer it. We’ll also learn about the different skin types and find out which applies to you! Next, we will discuss ways to implement the perfect ingredients for you and some lifestyle changes that could be beneficial.
I hope you are as excited as I am! The path to healthy, glowing, youthful skin starts now!
